Diego Jameau’s music is a soothing blend of Afro-Caribbean, European, and Latin American influences, performed on island-inspired, acoustic 12-string guitar and light percussion, illuminated by soulful and vocal harmonies and whistling accompaniments.

Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, Diego is a self-taught guitarist, singer, composer, and remarkable whistler who has captivated audiences throughout Europe and North America. He is known as the Whistler because of his world-class, flute-like whistling.  His musical compositions are a reflection of his values for personal and political freedom, and of his desire to see the world a better place for all.  His style is rhythmically driven by Calypso, Compa, and other traditional Haitian dance forms.
